Nashville's newest attraction
Last week sometime Nashville was blessed with a new store.... Trader Joe's. I had heard about Trader Joe's through friends of mine that live in Virgina but I had never set foot through the doors.. until the day it opened... now I know... Awesome!!
I knew I should have brought my camera with me on the first day I went. Because it was just crazy! So many people were there it was a mad house. So since I didn't bring my camera I am going to link to the Artsy Mama Blog because she summed it up just right.... Thanks Artsy Mama!!
Playdate...
Griffin and his friend Juliana played a little Tennis together after school on Friday. So of course I had to snap some pictures...

Griffin is putting on the moves..

Work it!!!

Ahh girls... so calm and happy to get her picture taken....

unless she is running from Griffin

This is Lilly, she is Juliana's dog. She did a great job getting her picture taken.
When I ask, "Juliana, can I take your picture?" She says "sure...."
When I ask Griffin if I can take his picture......

This is what I get.... Ahh BOYS!! Got to love them!

Yarn
If you know me then you know how crazy I am about fiber...yarn, knitting etc.... I have a secret dream... that one day... I will have some land and raise Alpacas. Or maybe sheep. I would treat them like pets and sell their fiber . My land would be full of green, rolling hills and I would run over the hills while the wind blew my hair and the flower petals I had just picked...... oh ... sorry...
But I do love fiber... and I just started being interested in spinning fiber into yarn. The other day I finished my first little ball of yarn and I wanted to take a picture of it. I went to my friend Dianne's house because her house is full of wonderful treasures that I find amazing. After finding a few things that I liked I came up with these:

Then I did this...

Then I thought , "what a cool concept." So I started looking around Dianne's house and her yarn stash.
And came up with these:
and this

Then this... boobs and yarn.... LOL
I had way too much fun... Still life with yarn.... the contrast of soft and hard.... objects you wouldn't think of with yarn. hummmm...... So what do you think?
How exciting!!
JPG Magazine chose my photo as one of the photo challenge "Leaf in hand" photos!!
I don't know of it will get published in the Magazine but I was noticed... and I am happy with that!!
