Well I had one of those last week...  If it could go wrong it did.   I won't go into all the details but one thing that happened that was hard was on Tuesday night.

That night we had a storm.  It wasn't a huge storm, in fact, I only heard one clap of thunder.  But at the barn I have been hanging out in and playing with horses got hit by one bolt of lighting.   The greatest horse that Cindy has got hit by that lighting and died.     Maggie was such a fun horse and I had planned on working more with her.   

The Sunday before she died I spent some time with her in her paddock.      She was showing off for me  and would run around  the paddock bucking and kicking. Then she would come up to me and let me pet and love on her then take off again and run.   She was not putting me in danger just being playful.    It just so happened that I took around 50 pictures of her that day.    I am so glad I did.   

Rest in Peace Maggie. 

The rest of the week was stressful from just things we all deal with in life.    But My weekend was great!     Have I mentioned that I have a great Aunt?    Well I do .   More about my relaxing weekend soon.   

Camille lost her third tooth.   

This tooth has been loose since Thanksgiving.    Not a day goes by that she doesn't ask me to feel how loose her tooth is.    Then when I picked her up from school today she was REALLY excited because this time is really was loose.   And I had to agree with her.  It was barely hanging on.     So all afternoon she ate things that would help it along.     Dad had to do the deed and pull it on out.  She screamed, it bled, but she was so happy!!!!!

She thinks the tooth fairy is going to bring her some big bucks.   I hope she is not too disappointed .

the shootings in Virgina. My heart goes out for the family and friends of the victims.    Life is so short.   

besides trying to stay warm, in April,  we had Camille and my Mom's family birthday party.  Nothing big just family,close friends, a rainy cookout and a Cake!! 

I made a big cake with cream cheese puddling in the middle and pink and green yummy icing on top.  Camille helped with the decorating and I was impressed with the job she did.   

I am liking the baking thing.  I used to bake a lot but stopped for a while.  Then we got a Kitchen Aid mixer and HELLO, I am loving to bake again!!   And this icing is to die for!!! :)

So after opening presents, eating good food, visiting with good people, we ate CAKE!

I have also picked up my knitting again.   This past fall I started knitting and couldn't stop then the last few months I have been so busy at work I put the knitting down .   I had started this crazy lace shawl a few months ago and this weekend I picked it back up .   This is not a project I can do while talking to people and it takes 30 minutes to get through a row but it did feel good to work on it.    

I wonder how long it is going take me to finish this thing.   

I do know that after I finish this shawl I will be able to accomplish just about anything. 

So that was our weekend.   It looks Spring is going to return this week.   Thank Goodness!   This cold weather is truly for the penguins birds.

Oh and I finally got to watch Happy Feet today and fell in Love.  What a great movie!!!
