Update On Aaron

Lisa's son Aaron is having surgery on Monday.   I talked with him very briefly this morning and he seemed in good spirits.    Lisa sounds tired.    They have a blog to keep up with his updates.

Aaron's Update

I will be going to visit them tomorrow.

Things are getting busy

I am happy to say that we are getting busy again here at Little Fingers, Little Toes.   After the Christmas  rush things got slow around here . (Happens every year!)    During the slow months I got to knit a few things and I really enjoyed that!   But I am really glad to see those orders coming in!!!  Woo HOoo

On a different note,  Lisa our graphic designer needs our thoughts and  prayers.    Her son (15)has been getting nausea off and on for a few months.  Lisa has been taking him back and forth to the Doctors and hasn't gotten any answers.  Yesterday they did an MRI and found a brain tumor.    He is having it removed tomorrow and I know everything will turn out just fine.   But if you have a moment please give a prayer or positive thought.

Sick little one

Every night it is pretty much the same thing.   Camille and I pick Griffin up from preschool,  They fuss, yell, laugh, scream all the way home.   Then we get home, they go outside, if it is still daylight , for a little while. Or they watch PBS  while I clean up and get ready for Brian to get home.  But today I noticed that they were both a little more quiet than usual.    Hummmm

Then while I was getting supper started I heard the moan...  "Mommy, I feel sick.."    I looked down stairs and there was Griffin all wrapped up in a blanket looking pretty miserable.   Sure enough, took his temp and there it was ...  a fever.   Poor little guy.    "Mommy my head hurts and I hurt all over."

When your children get sick you want to take them and wrap them up in a get well blanket.    Make all the hurt go away.   Kiss the fever away.  Do what ever it takes to make them better.    But then I look  at him and even though  he is sick,  he looks so sweet.  All quiet and calm.  There is no yelling or jumping around.  And he doesn't mind if I snuggle with him.   He wants me to carry him to bed just like when he was a baby.    Then I think for a minute.... this being sick stuff  isn't that bad , I get to baby my baby for a day.   That is until the fever breaks.  Then he is back to being that 4 year old, full of energy, little boy.       But I will take what I can get and I am grateful that he is better again.

So tomorrow I will be home with my sick little guy.    I will get to snuggle when he wants and chase him around when the fever breaks and maybe get a little work done in between.

Wish me luck....

We got SNOW!!!!!

So the snow dance only worked a little the night before... But someone must have done a really big dance last night because we actually got enough of the white stuff to have some fun!!!!

But what did I do?  I left my camera at the office.   Of all days for me to do that so I decided that I could not have the first snow that my kids would remember without my camera.  So I loaded up the kids at 7:00 a.m.  (Because they were up at 6:30 wanting to go out and play)  and we carefully went to the office to get the camera.

On the way home Griffin asked me why I was driving so slow.  I said "Because I am carrying  two precious cargo that needed extra special care to get home safely."

Camille piped up and said, " Yea, but Griffin is not precious, I am precious!"

I Said, " Well I think you are both precious!"

Then all serious like Griffin said, " Yeah I'm not precious, I am Lacy!!"

Now what makes this so funny is my mother has two dogs one of them is named precious the other is named Lacy.   Camille and I laughed for a long time after that.

So here is our morning of snow!!

We made snow angels:

Then Griffin took a picture of Me and Camille,

And Camille took a picture of me and Griffin

Then I had to take them to Griffin's pre school so I could go to work.    When I was a teacher I loved snow days because I got to stay home.  Now I still have to go to work , even in the snow.  Good thing I LOVE my job!!!!!

At least we got to take pictures of the first snow my kids will remember they had fun and by the time we got home it was pretty much all gone. :(
