How has it almost been a week since I posted??  I seem to be doing something big everyday this week.    Finished moving the rest of my stuff out of my old house.  What a long process.    I have managed to move 40 years of stuff into a small room and in my car.   I am having to store most of my possessions for a while.   It is not easy to downsize so much but it could be worse. 

Since it snowed today......

No I am not kidding ... if you look really close you can see the snow...  So they canceled school.   Since Camille and Griffin had no school they got to go with me to finishing packing my stuff.   I had to find something to make it fun for them.

We found a couple of containers of baby clothes that I kept. 

It was so much fun showing Camille some of my favorite outfits she used to wear.  It brought back so many wonderful memories.   Then I found these dresses:

These are dresses that I wore as a baby and Mom gave them to me to let Camille wear.   How sweet is that??  They look pretty bad all wrinkled but they are so cute.

I just love these dresses.  Camille wanted me to keep them for her daughter one day.  Of course!  That was my plan all along!!  So something good did come out of all that packing!

My Aunt, the kids and I sat in the back yard, freezing to death and looking up for an hour last night.   How cool to see the eclipse.   And you know I took pictures....

This was in the beginning..  do you see that green round shape above the moon?  I didn't see this until I uploaded the pictures.    Is this Saturn?   I didn't think it would be this big...

I did a few really long exposures that is why the clouds are blurry.   If any one out there knows if that green thing is Saturn  lens flare please let me know... 

The long exposure make it hard to see the actual eclipse...  But look at that planet.. or is it a planet?  Maybe it is a visitor from another planet coming in closer to see the eclipse?? LOL

The kids all bundled up,  but by this time they were pretty much done with it all.  They agree that we had visitors from outer space!

Close up.   The blue star is above the moon at least I think that is called the blue star.   But look at that  planet  lens flare .....it just seem so big...  O.k. really Saturn is the small dot below the moon. 

This is more what the moon looked like when it was close to the end.  Shorter  exposure shows the correct color.  It turned a rusty color. 

We had fun.  And hopefully learned something.  When I put all the pictures I took last night together  you can see how the moon went across the sky.    It would make a neat short movie... 

in posting???  Where have I been??  I think I disappeared into a vortex of kid stuff for a few days...   But I am back!!   I know you all have missed me terribly!!!  ;)

So tonight, in one post, I will catch up all my photos of the day...  I know now you all can relax and finally get some sleep and stop worring about me...

I can't believe it!  Of course every county in the state was closed but ours...  And the kids didn't get to play in it.   But we got it and it was pretty...
