Yarn

If you know me then you know how crazy I am about fiber...yarn, knitting etc....  I have a secret dream... that one day...   I will have some land and raise Alpacas.   Or maybe sheep. I would treat them like pets and sell their fiber .  My land would be full of green, rolling hills and I would run over the hills while the wind blew my hair and the flower petals I had just picked......  oh ... sorry...

But I do love fiber... and I just started being interested in spinning fiber into yarn.    The other day I finished my first little ball of yarn and I wanted to take a picture of it.  I went to my friend Dianne's house because her house is full of wonderful treasures that I find amazing.  After finding a few things that I liked I came up with these:

Then I did this...

Then I thought , "what a cool concept."  So I started looking around Dianne's house and her yarn stash.

And came up with these:

  and this

Then this... boobs and yarn....  LOL

I had way too much fun...  Still life with yarn.... the contrast of soft and hard....  objects you wouldn't think of with yarn.  hummmm......  So what do you think?

What do you think

this goat is pondering....

This was at the petting zoo.  We went last week and I just stuck my camera under him and hit the shutter.  It is for the theme on JPG Magazine "shooting from the hip"

How crazy is this?

I was going through some old pictures and found a picture of my Dad when he was Griffin's age.  I knew that Griffin looks like my Dad ...

I just didn't know how much they look alike.

Now how crazy is that?

Emerging Butterfly

This is a video I made of our last Monarch emerging from her chrysalis.    I had my tripod set up most of the night and next morning to catch the right moment.

Enjoy!
